Mortuarybook coordinates concierge requests between funeral homes and qualified independent professionals. Applying to the network does not create an employment relationship or guarantee assignments, hours, or income.

The funeral home must first submit its registration information. Once the funeral home profile is reviewed, authorized users may submit concierge requests containing the location, date, time, service needed, and relevant assignment details.

Requests may include scheduled funeral-service coverage, funeral-day support, embalming services, emergency or short-notice needs, vacation or leave coverage, and longer-term professional support.

Available services may vary by location, licensing requirements, professional availability, and the specific needs of the funeral home.

No. Every request is subject to review, professional availability, geographic coverage, licensing requirements, assignment details, and final confirmation. A request is not confirmed until Mortuarybook communicates that the assignment has been accepted and approved.

Funeral homes should submit requests as early as possible. Advance notice improves the likelihood that a qualified professional can be identified. Mortuarybook may also review urgent or short-notice requests, but availability cannot be guaranteed.

Licensed funeral directors, morticians, embalmers, and other qualified funeral-service professionals may apply where permitted by applicable state and local requirements. Applicants may only accept services they are legally qualified and authorized to perform.

Applicants may be asked to provide contact information, professional licenses, work history, service areas, experience, credentials, availability, insurance information, and other documentation relevant to the services they are requesting to perform.

No. Applications are reviewed individually. Approval, assignment opportunities, frequency of requests, hours, and income are not guaranteed.

Professionals may review available assignment information and determine whether they are available and qualified to accept the opportunity. An assignment is not final until it has been accepted and confirmed through the Mortuarybook process.

Matching may consider professional licensing, experience, requested service, location, travel radius, availability, funeral-home requirements, and previous performance. Final assignment authority remains subject to Mortuarybook’s review and confirmation process.

An assignment is confirmed only after the funeral home, assigned professional, and Mortuarybook have completed the applicable review and confirmation steps. Verbal interest, registration, or initial availability does not by itself create a confirmed assignment.

The professional may be required to mark the assignment complete and provide requested documentation. The funeral home may then confirm completion, report an issue, and provide feedback through the applicable review process.

Pricing may depend on the requested service, professional qualifications, location, travel, urgency, schedule, assignment duration, and other operational requirements. Applicable pricing is reviewed before the assignment is finally confirmed.

Funeral homes may be required to maintain an authorized payment method before a concierge assignment can be confirmed. Charges, authorization terms, cancellation terms, and other payment requirements will be presented during the applicable request process.

Payment timing may depend on assignment completion, funeral-home confirmation, payment processing timelines, documentation requirements, and whether an issue or dispute has been reported. Specific payment terms are provided to approved professionals.

The cancelling party should notify Mortuarybook immediately. Cancellation charges or other consequences may apply depending on the timing, assignment terms, travel, professional commitments, and costs already incurred.

The funeral home should report the issue promptly and provide a clear description and any requested supporting documentation. Mortuarybook may hold the transaction for review while the circumstances are investigated.
